Web Orders :-
Web site imports, we have made many custom importers to work with e-commerce
applications.
Typically we will log into an ftp server, collect csv files of orders and
transfer them to the local PC, then process them into Sage Line 50 without any
need for data to be rekeyed.
Processing may be a matter of creating Sales Order or Invoices from the
website.
In the case of invoices, the invoices may also be posted to the customer
ledger.
If payment information is available then we may also import the payments to
the customer ledger and match off against the invoices.
We can also use emails as a source of data, allowing use to extract and enter
data from formatted emails into Line 50, typically we do this with Websites
where control of the data format is retained. However, we could do it with
emails from a wide variety of systems.
